BENTLEY PUBLICITY.

We had a further talk with Geo. Eyston on the lines that you suggested. He is going to submit a proposal to you with regard to insurance which he thinks will be acceptable to both parties.

With regard to remuneration as a result of his effort on the track, he stated that he is not expecting anything, and no allowance has been made in the figure which he quoted.

He is not getting anything from the oil or petrol companies, but, of course, he is retained by Wakefield's, and this run will help in this respect.

We do not feel that the sum mentioned by Geo. Eyston makes sufficient allowance for any problems that may be encountered when we get the car out there or for any trouble, and we feel that in fairness to all concerned the sum allowed should be not less than £500. We believe there is little doubt that we could persuade Wakefield's to share half this sum if this is thought to be desirable.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
