To Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 4060 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/KW.1.5.35. Chassis B-146-AH. Attached is a list of complaints which Jack Barclay makes about his Trials car. I rode with him a little way to get some indication of what his troubles were. His two justifiable complaints seem to be the squeak in the clutch, and a feature which he described as "rattle when getting away", but which is really the silencer tinniness. I think lagging the front expansion box would deal with this. I did not hold out any hope of him being able to get any better performance. I should like to go out on the car with you or Tr.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance} when it goes out, just to see whether there is something I have missed in the transmission. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
