re. "V" Series Faulty Steering . Tyres out of balance.

Although we are delivering chassis with tyres out of balance ( a point which I discussed with you some time ago, you pointing out that there was no alternative) we have kept a record of chassis which have been delivered with tyres, all of which have this defect, hoping we shall be able to replace same before the cars get into the hands of customers.

I understand that Dunlop's representative is calling to see you about this matter. I should therefore, be glad if some consideration could be given as to action to be taken in regard to chassis delivered, even although they may have been delivered to customers in this condition. I feel it is essential that we should supply them with tyres in the first place which come within our instructions which we have circulated to our Depots etc. pointing out the necessity of the front wheels being within balance to 2 - 4 ozs. on the rim.

It seems futile for us to supply these instructions, as recommended by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and at the same time be turning out chassis ourselves in the first place which do not comply with these instructions.
