Dear Capt. Irving,

Thank you for your letter of the 4th. I am afraid I do not know whether the Borg & Beck servo arrange-ment is patented or not. I took my illustration from the "Automobile Engineer" of sometime in 1935.

An almost exactly similar arrangement is described on page 747 of "The Motor" of November 6th, 1928, for use in brake systems.
