Model which you have delivered, the Four Door Saloon, the battery is not accessable for filling. It was intended that the fixed vertical board forming the rear wall of the tool box should be only just in front of the battery cross tube. The floor and the heelboard of the rear set was to be detachable. We would be glad if you would arrange to use this construction on both the first and last of this batch of bodies. The others being close coupled the battery is approached by removing the seat-board. In all cases it should be arranged that the battery can be lifted up out of its metal box.

BENTLEY "B" MODEL.
Both of the bodies for this model may now be proceeded with, as the alterations which we anticipated would be made to the angle of the steering column have not materialised.
The finishing instructions for the Saloon are
Body and wings, bonnet and chassis all black.
Brown furniture hide upholstery, with headcloth and carpet to match. No wooden finishers. Walnut instrument board. Any other details the writer will settle when he calls again at you works.

We have decided to lengthen the wheelbase of this chassis by 2.000ins. by adding this amount to the portion of the frame in front of the dashboard. We will send you a print of the revised frame in the course of a day or so, in the meantime we suggest that you should not modify the wings you have already made or go any further with those for the open car.

Yours faithfully,

for Rolls-Royce Ltd.
