Radiator/dashboard dimensions and front wing design for a 40/50 chassis, based on coachbuilder feedback.

(9) The approximate dimensions were quoted of the height of radiator and height and width of dash boards on the 40/50 R-R and Hispano Suiza chassis, and a coachbuilder said that his ideal for our chassis would be radiator 1" higher, and dash 1" higher and 1 1/2" wider (5/8" each side) than our present standard. (10) A coachbuilder mentioned that his firm make the front wings of the 40/50 to the width shown on the chassis prints viz: 72 1/2" and he found that the mud comes from near the bottom of the wings, and it is necessary to carry the valance edge of the wing further along the wing and deeper towards the step board.
