Therefore, during the load test each brush in rotation should be lifted off the commutator and the effect observed on the ammeter and opposite brush. TEST 4. INSULATION BREAKDOWN TEST. While still warm from the above tests an alternating voltage of 200 from the lighting mains shall be applied through a light fuse for 10 minutes without breakdown, between the armature and field windings and the motor casing. TEST 5. INSULATION RESISTANCE TEST. Insulation resistance now taken must not be less than one megohm. EFC. | ||
