-2- We have carefully considered the roll rod, and we do not think it is worth sending this out unless we find we cannot make the car stable in any other way. It is then problematical if the front roll rod will do what is required. With regard to your other queries, we are sending off five gallons of De Laval oil immediately. We have also instructed the Repair Dept. to send over the spare 3 1/2-litre engine. We are arranging for one of each type by-pass filter to be sent out to you. You will have to pay for these, presumably you will be able to pass on the cost to the customer. We attach a copy of the report summarising the present position of these filters. I did not bring one of those alleged A.C.2 bearings back with me. I should like to have one analysed at the Works just to make certain, as they do not appear to be clear from the chassis number what was put in. We are taking up the question of the oil viscosity with the Wakefield Co. We are sending you some L. section rings for the 3 1/2-litre Bentley as soon as we can get them manufactured, also a set of tin plated pistons for both the 3 1/2 and 4 1/4-litre Bentley.
