E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJ. X4086 GOSHAWK-11. X4086 X3525 Hsl/LG29.4.22. 5-Goshawk-11 which has completed over 10,000 miles in France, is now being dismantled for inspection. There are a number of parts on this car which are badly worn. We consider it is essential that you and Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} come to Derby and examine the parts on this car. We should like you to come to Derby on the Delage Car which is at W.W. because we are anxious to try the steering on that car again. R.{Sir Henry Royce} is also asking for further particulars to be taken of the Delage Steering, if it was considered satisfactory. Please wire when you will arrive in Derby. We should like you to come as soon as possible because the car is to be built up again and is to continue running a further 10,000 miles. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1804 | ||
