Cold Pressed Chassis Frames F.59190/1
----------------

The 3 sample pairs of such 20/25 HP. Cold Pressed Frames are now on the ground, having been delivered on the 13th instant, and the object of this note is to ask if special arrangements could be made to speed up their testing, with a view to their standardisation or otherwise.

As already advised, sample Frames were delivered

(a) for JAPAN III ... 20th January 1932
(b) for "PEREGRINE" ... 1st April. "

Cold Pressed, but I understand it is not possible to express an opinion as to the suitability of the 20/25 HP Frames on the results obtained on JAPAN and PEREGRINE but it will be necessary to subject them to exhaustive test.

The economy we can effect by the use of such Frames, compared with our present standard Hot Pressed 3% Nickel represents in purchase price alone :

£3.0.0d to £3.10.0d per Frame

apart from which the Shops will be able to effect a distinct economy, as they will avoid the necessity for setting etc. etc., at present existent with the Hot Pressed Nickel.

If Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} can give us some approximate idea as to when such tests could be completed, it would help us considerably in purchase of the additional Frames now required for the 200 - 20/25 HP. Chassis just released, i.e. "X" Series.
