Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Mr. Robotham, I thank you for your letter of the 15th inst., and note your suggestion that I should visit Derby when the Ripplet Body is delivered to you. Unfortunately, however, it will be impossible for me to pay you a visit for some time owing to the re-building of the part of the factory which sustained damage, and in view also of our adversary's continued Air activity which is affecting us by day as well as at night, so much so locally that we are continually changing around our Office and Production Staff to ease the burden for those who have suffered, in one way or another, as a result of enemy action. This difficulty, therefore, necessitates my having to be available to assist in the general re-organisation etc. I can, however, assure you that I would welcome a good night's sleep, which it is pleasing to learn can at least be obtained at Derby. When circumstances permit of a visit, I will notify you accordingly. Yours sincerely, for PARK WARD & CO LTD., Works Director. | ||
