| Copy to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} CONFIDENTIAL 200l 404 E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/MN. 23rd. February, 1937. Messrs. Park Ward & Co., 473, High Road, Willesden, London, N.W.10. For the attention of Mr. Ward. Dear Sirs, Re Short Wheelbase Bentley. ----------------------- We send herewith a print of LeC.5514 which gives sufficient dimensions of the radiator shell and shutters for the short wheelbase Bentley to enable you to make a wooden model of the same for fitting to the dummy chassis. We will send to you under separate cover a radiator badge and a filler cap. The badge should be placed in the standard position as indicated, and the filler cap likewise. The shutters are shown in section on line XX which is about the maximum width of the radiator and half-way up its length. These should be produced by suitable fluting in a face board. The spacing of the shutters is shown and it will be seen that the shutters are vertical. We have given you the height for the transverse tube for the head lamp and wing support. We suggest that you use for this purpose a piece of tube with Phantom III fittings. Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. Att:LeC.5514. | ||
