Front Suspension.

New dampers running. Insufficient mileage to form an opinion.

Brakes.

Designs completed for wider rear drums. Various modifications have reduced tendency for servo judder, but we are not satisfied that this trouble is completely cured as yet.

Clutch.

Thrust race failures appear at the moment to be eliminated. Mileage insufficient to be certain of the cure.

Propellor Shaft.

Troubles not yet completely overcome.

Water Pumps.

Design modification have produced improved results. Mileage insufficient to establish that the cure is permanent.

Steerings.

We have not been able to get a correctly hardened worm to try out.

Rattles in Transmission.

A cure appears to have been found.

Tyres.

Improved tread design has reduced the trouble.

Rear Axle.

Since the last report, we have had a rear axle failure on 30.G.VII after 70,000 miles. Considering the treatment this car has had, if we could be sure that all similar axles would give the same life, we should not be worried. We have replaced the failed gears with an exactly similar pair to get an average figure for life. It may be necessary to use a Wraith
