R.{Sir Henry Royce} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} C. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X 5310 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M31.1.31. JAPAN 3. GEARBOX. We send herewith N. sch. 3210., unfinished drawing of the gearbox, revised by the inclusion of the Maybach jaws, and the reverse proposed in R1/M25.1.31. The Maybach jaws have increased the length of the box .250" only. We notice on the Chrysler box that the angle of these jaws is 10°. On L.H. P. 2. there are 3 sliding rods to operate the reverse. It is suggested that one might be eliminated on this box. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
