EXTRACT FROM :- X7340. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} MX{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}5/OG8. 8. 29. Re. S.S. CHASSIS. 3. PROPELLER SHAFT. The propeller shaft fouls the cross member under combined bump and torque conditions. We note the By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} proposes to increase the thickness of the rubber buffer, but in the mean-time a .250 aluminium packing is being fitted under the buffer, which will relieve but not entirely prevent the occurrence. | ||
