STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.
Description of Parts.
40/50 WATER PUMP GLAND PACKING.
Origin.
To obviate leaks and adjustment.
Experimental Test Report.
We conducted a series of tests on different types of packing and evolved the spring loaded soft asbestos rope gland as being the most efficient.
Road Test Report.
These glands are fitted to 12-EX, 10-EX and 14-EX. So far they have done 9000 miles without leaking or requiring adjustment. A definite improvement over the present standard.
