For attention Mr. Martin-Hurst.

Dear Sirs,

Bellows Unit F.85395.

With regard to your letter dated the 2nd inst., we have now measured the last batch of 43 Bellows to arrive at the Works. We presume these are the 26 Bellows you mentioned in your letter, and 17 replacements.

All the 43 have been tried in our gauges, and there are 27 of them turned down, owing to inaccuracy of bellows size.

The report is as follows :-

8. Oversize on the outside and inside dia. of bellows.

11. Oversize on the inside dia. of bellows.

5. Oversize on the outside dia. of bellows.

3. Undersize on the outside dia. and oversize on the inside of bellows.

The gauges we are using are of the standard plug type with a GO one end and NOT GO the other end.

The sizes of the gauges are as follows :-

Gauge for outside dia. of Bellows.

Inside GO 1.501
dia. NOT GO 1.491
