To B.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to F.N. s. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} x4565 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/L622.11.26. 20 HP. TYRES. x5820 Replying to BJ4/L22.11.26. A 20 HP. car (8-G-11) was run in France by R.{Sir Henry Royce} in the Spring of 1925 fitted with 6" tyres. The car ran altogether 7000/8000 miles. This car however did not have front wheel brakes. Since then we have run local tests to satisfy ourselves that if necessary 6" tyres can be used on front wheel brake cars with hydraulic dampers without risk of wobbles!
