STAMP: ORIGINAL STAMP: RECEIVED TECHNICAL DEPT 14 AUG 1931 HANDWRITTEN: COPY. FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} HANDWRITTEN: C. to Sc. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} REFERENCE & DATE: E2/M22.8.31. HANDWRITTEN: x7230 HANDWRITTEN: x7060 TITLE: P. 2. - IMPROVED EXHAUST AND INLET VALVES. We send you herewith LeC. 2935. shewing the above. It is expected that the increased weight of these valves over the standard will demand some increase in valve spring load unless compensation is provided in another way by the use of a longer duration cam. We are however looking into this question, and in the meantime the valves can be produced and tested with standard springs. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
