X.2369 To EFC. from Mr. Coverley c.c. to Mr. Haldenby. EFC16/T15317. 15th March 1917. The following chassis experiments are finished and ready for test :- X.2369A - Pistons E.10915 with 6 upper rings and 1 scraper Ring with no skirt below bottom ring Rings 4 & 6 Pinned (to super sheet E.10937). X.2369B - Piston E.11640 with 6 Upper Rings and 1 scraper Ring and with Skirt below bottom Ring. Rings 4 & 6 Pinned. (To 2nd column of super sheet E.10937. X.2809A - Pistons E.12386 with 6 Upper Rings and 1 scraper Ring and skirt below bottom ring, but differing from E.11640 (x.2369B in having Per-forated Groove below bottom ring and 6 rings pinned X.2809B - Ditto except that 4 rings pinned instead of 6 and .2" Gap instead of .4".
