4013 To Sr/Crn - Levallois. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}18/KW.14.1:35; Re your memo. of 12.1.35 concerning fitting of Bumper Bar to M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Michelin's Bentley. We have forwarded to you by Air Mail the necessary parts for fitting the Bumper Bar and No. Plate and a modified starting handle. We enclose prints of N. Sch. 4238 and N. Sch. 4236, which show the arrangement of the Bumper Bar. We wish to point out the minimum distance apart of the No. Plate clips as shown on this drawing. It is possible that the rectangular spigot on the Silent Blocs which we sent you are too deep and that it will be necessary to file them down to enable the Silent Blocs to butt against the dumb iron on their outer faces.
