BENTLEY V.{VIENNA} BONNETS.
VISIT TO BODY MOTOR PANELS AT COVENTRY.

At Messrs. Park Ward's request accompanied by Mr. Green, I visited Body Motor Panels to discuss Bentley V.{VIENNA} Bonnets.

Motor Body Panels do not appear to have been organised or instructed as to the most economical procedure in delivery of R.R. parts, assembly and despatch of Bonnets, the whole issue needs lining up.

(1) Amal catches are delivered to Motor Body Panels completely assembled, they have to be taken apart in order that the necessary parts can be welded to the bonnet side plate, and then be assembled.

When the bonnet reaches Park Ward the catches apparently have to be again taken down for painting. Only the parts essential to Motor Body Panels should therefore be sent to them. This also applies to the chromium cover plate of the top hinge.

It is up to Messrs. Park Ward to decide this, my visit would have been better done by Messrs. Park Ward.

(2) Motor Body Panels require from Messrs. R.R.

EB.3296. Thimble - top hinge 1 off.
E.22128 Taper pin - thimble 1 off.
EB.4404 Bonnet eye. 1 off.

(3) Messrs. Rolls-Royce in error have sent the following pieces to Motor Body Panels who are returning them :-
