R.R. 755 (10M) (SL 72 18-7-23) MP 274954s. (11) /4226 COMPLETED 14.9.23 STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS. Date 1.9.23. Description of Parts: 45° angle seats on valves Origin: To avoid valves burning. Experimental Test Report. We have had a number of instances of valves burning on 20 HP. cars both on experimental and customer's cars. Tests prove 45° angle seats a definite improvement. See report Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG1. 9. 23. Road Test Report. Run on Test Bench for 24 hours. Fitted to 4-G-11 and 7-Gehawk-11. This follows the practice now adopted on 40 HP. Present valves can be modified. X No. 4226 Drawing No. Part List A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works.
