SY Boot Lid{A. J. Lidsey}

The inner skin of the Boot Lid{A. J. Lidsey} has no access holes apart from the usual ones for Rear Lamp, No. Plate, Locks etc.

This in my opinion is wrong inasmuchas any repair work which has to be carried out on the outer skin is made practically impossible, the only remedy being K.C.F. or some such material.

I had to argue quite a lot with JB and design, on the S1 when it was produced, in order to get depressions and access holes to the outer skin.

Without them we could not possibly have dealt with shapes and damage which we have to do on 95% of bodies.

While agreeing that SY Boot lid{A. J. Lidsey} is a more robust one, I still believe we shall still have to contend with shape and damage in production, I also feel that Service will be in trouble with damage of the lid{A. J. Lidsey} from time to time.

If we are to produce this efficiently and economically we must have access holes in the inner skin.
