Station Wharf Works,
Alperton,
Middx.

Dear Sirs,

We wish to make a small and delicate model casting by means of a wax pattern moulded in Plaster-of-Paris, the pattern being subsequently melted out.

We believe that you produce a metal having a melting point around about 100°C and called Cerabend which might be suitable for this purpose, provided it can be plated fairly satisfactory.

If this is so we would be very glad if you would send us a sample pound of Cerabend for our first experiment as soon as possible as the work we need it for is extremely urgent.

An official order will be sent to you on receipt of the metal and your reply.

Yours faithfully,

H.I.F. Evernden,
for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.

P.S. Please address metal and reply for the attention of Mr. H.I.F. Evernden.
