Briggs Motor Bodies Limited,
Dagenham,
ESSEX.

(For the attention of Mr. N.H. Manning.)

Dear Sirs,

This is to confirm our yesterday's conversation.

We should like you to supply as soon as possible some of your 12 gauge (American .0808") chassis steel so that we can produce two frames having 12 gauge material for:-

(1) centre cross FB.2948 & 2949.
(2) 2nd cross-member FB.2954.
(3) Frame gussets FB.2968 & FB.2969.
(4) Front cross-member FB.2946 & FB.2947.

We shall be sending you an official covering order for this steel. As we understand that your quotation of £9/4/- was for the frame to be made from 10 gauge (American .0808) instead of 10 gauge (Imperial .128") as shown on our drawings, we should like an exactly similar quotation for 8 gauge (American.1285").

We should also like to have quotations for both tool and part costs for the following items:-

(1) For the 10 gauge (American frame) the difference by using welding with a few 1/4 rivets used for location, the centre of the cross having flat welded plates. These items are shown in pencil on the frame drawing left with you.
