Breakage of Rear Window Glass - 1-J-III.

Whilst driving 1-J-III car up St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Peter's Street, Derby, at 6.30 p.m. Monday the 28th inst. a young boy riding a push cycle ran into the back of the car, breaking the back window glass. The position of the impact was just opposite the White Hall Cinema. The cyclist said he had been hurrying across East Street because there was a car facing down St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Peter's Street, waiting to turn into East Street. There was a slight blockage beyond the White Hall, causing me to reduce my speed to a standstill.

Apparently the cyclist either was not looking where he was going, or he was riding beyond his braking capabilities. Having exchanged names and addresses the cyclist rode away, appearing to be in a hurry.

No damage, other than the broken glass, was done to anybody or anything.
