Description of the conditions for achieving maximum, normal/Winter, and reduced/Summer electrical charging rates.

(1). A maximum rate with neither resistance in use. This can only occur with the lighting switch in the H.S.& T. position, and is not affected by the position of the charge switch.

(2). A normal or Winter rate, one resistance being in series with the field. This occurs -
(a) with the lighting switch in the S. & T. position and is not then affected by the position of the charge switch,
and (b) when the charge switch is in the Winter position and the lighting switch is off.

(3). A reduced or Summer rate, both resistances being in series with the field. This only occurs with the charge switch in the Summer position, and the lighting switch off.
