Draper - Frames}3/SW.1.1.41. MYTH. Rear Roll Rod. We have attached to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH's copy the original of PL.415 Rear Roll Rod. The above scheme shows a design of the rear roll rod which we have made .593 dia. and believe it will be the maximum size we shall require. The ends are shown bent round and bolted to the rear shock damper levers. It has been necessary to have an upset in the centre to clear the rear axle when on full bump. It is hoped that we shall manage to get away without a roll rod finally but Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG should design the rear floor of the body to provide the necessary clearances. The shock damper levers should be detailed for with and without roll rod bosses, the dies should be made so that either lever can be produced from the same dies.
