With reference to your memo BY/SB.{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}12/MG. 17.3.39, there are still cars giving trouble with rattles in the rear silencer and these will continue, for some time.

The trouble has been cleared up by BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} who assured me the last time I interviewed him.

A larger hole is drilled which makes the welders do the job correctly.

I left these complaints off my chart for this reason.
