THE "LUCID" NON-DAZZLE SHADE

The invention consists in a built-up type of shade, in which the upward rays of light from the lamp, within the limit in which the intensity of the light would be such as to produce glaring to an observer, is substantially obstructed.

The shade is formed of a number of horizontal lengths of drawn wire, of special dimensions, fitted into frames, a number of the frames being placed one behind the other and fitted into an outer casing holding them in place. It is then mounted inside the door or front rim of the lamp, and is held secure by four small screws.

The upward rays of light strike against the horizontal wires and are thus obstructed, the parallel rays pass through and form a straight beam of light. The driver looks over the beam—not through it.

The shade is very light and strong in construction, and we can fit the same to any make of lamp.

We shall be pleased to demonstrate the shade at our works at any time.
