I have read your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.18/AP4.12.36 with interest. I understood that one of the failures of electric clocks was the blowing of the fuses, and Mr.Nichols of Smiths told me that the fuse was inclined to blow if the voltage dropped below 8. This of course seems quite contrary to paragraph 3 of your memo, which in the circumstances is interesting Perhaps you could let us have your views on this when writing again on this subject generally.
