Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Referring to the dynamo, you will notice that Messrs. Lucas are making a machine of the same armature dimensions as the present standard and will communicate to us the results of a test on this machine within the next month. They do not mention, however, what cutting in speed and output this particular machine is designed for. X.1925. Regarding the failure of the dynamo connection complained of by Mr. Royce, you will notice that although we have twice mentioned this matter to Messrs. Lucas they have not, so far, favoured us with any remarks upon this particular item, so that under the circumstances, we have nothing to report to Mr. Royce in answer to his R3/C11.2.20. Referring to the matter of the special plug to fit the inspection lamp plug socket for the purpose of charging from an external source, you will see that Messrs. Lucas have sent us along one or two plugs for this purpose, which are so shaped that they cannot be inserted in the socket except in one direction. This would render it Contd. | ||
