Y442 PN{Mr Northey}4/DN11.5.25. TO Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM PN{Mr Northey} We were approached recently by Mr.Dunkells, at the time of his ordering one of the "New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I" cars, in connection with a new form of exhaust silencer which he is interested in. I have seen one of these silencers and its component parts, and I have met Mr. N.P. Sorrell Straussler who is, I think, the inventor, and in any case, is actively engaged in the development of this device. From what I have heard in respect of its effectiveness, at the same time as an avoidance of back pressure, I should be glad for you to meet Mr. Sorrell Straussler as soon as possible in order to go into the matter. CJ agrees with me that Mr. Straussler had better come to see you at Derby, bringing with him one of his silencers, as early as possible by appointment. Would you therefore please get into touch with this gentleman direct at 10-11, Jermyn Street, S.W.1., in order that he may come and see you ? P.N. | ||
