V.W. Pilkington, Esq.,
Leyland Motors Limited,
LEYLAND, Lancs:

Dear Pilkington,

With reference to your letter of the 17th May, which I am sorry I have not answered before, we gave your Representative what information we could on nit-riding, and hope that he has been able to get out of his trouble. We think a lot of the raised crown piston here as a means of getting increased compression ratio without increase of detonation, and shall be very pleased to know what results you get on the sample set which Wellworthys have made for you.

I hope that you and Mr. Spurrier, Junior, will manage to get down here before long to talk over some of the progress we have been making. I trust he will be able to let me have the cost of the dry liner which he promised me.

Yours sincerely,
