HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH.{R. Hollingworth} Ra/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}2./JS.{Mr Johnson's Secretary}23.4.40. CHASSIS PATTERN WORK. In order to clarify the position of pattern work regarding order of priority on the engine section, we would like you to deal with the jobs in this order: 1. Aluminium B. 2. New six cylinder (four alternative bore sizes from one set of patterns). 3. Wilcox-Rich tappet Experiment. It is proposed to use the existing set of patterns to carry out this test; in fact the original instructions can still stand, as a new six-cylinder pattern is being produced, which will release the old pattern for this purpose.
