-2- road. At higher speeds of up to 70, the riding appeared definite ly inferior to the previous test; the car feeling rather unstable both when seated at the back and when driving - but this unstableness hardly amounted to swaying. I thought that the softer riding might be the cause of this, but I certainly thought that the car required more dampting at the rear at higher speeds. The springing at the front appeared quite O.K. - there being no undue tendency to pitch. The rear buffers touched the axle once lightly when travelling fast over a rough section of the road. In conclusion, I thought this type of springing might very possibly overcome a considerable portion of the springing complaints arising from harsh riding at low speeds with which we now have to deal.
