To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}

Attached is a brief summary of the position of our three 10,000 mile cars.

Actually now you have got the gearbox ready we should like to get the Phantom cleaned up first. The silent tappets are the worst feature as to prevent the valves bouncing we want lighter valves as shown on LsC.3960 attached.

Will you please urge the cylinder head and the silent tappets.

The 20/25 is doing useful work but before it goes to France we do want to get the La{L. A. Archer} Salle steering on it. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has decided he would like this to go on the 10,000 mile car rather than Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}'s car.

The other big job on this car is the engine mounting to the production detail drawings.

With regard to the Bentley, this of course goes to France as soon as the front axle is completed irrespective of whether the other items tabulated are ready or not.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}
