EAC.11. X8770 X8770

Although yesterday we could not promise the EAC. engine to be as smooth as the standard 40/50 HP., we are much more optimistic today.

We have improved the EAC. and we have compared it with a good example of a standard 40/50 - 11-AU.

Although we know you realise it, we should like to emphasize that whilst the EAC.11. is in the present state of flux, it is impossible to lay down very definite opinions.

On a single EAC.11. chassis we are expected to reproduce a car equal to the best 40/50 HP. We know that with all our experience that the 40/50 HP. it takes sometimes weeks or months to achieve the desired results. Before we received your memo. we had set out a programme to get PN.{Mr Northey} to test 93-NK when he is at the Works tomorrow and to judge it relatively to a standard 40/50 HP. We should say that the EAC. should score on points taking into account that silkiness and silence are the most desirable features.

There are other features on 93-NK - such as - starter and governor, which we know are definitely wrong and will have to be altered, but these can be considered as externals and there should be no great defficulty in getting them right.

We are arranging to take 93-NK car to WW. on Friday.
