<u>Re: 20 HP. Chassis No. 1644. (GUK.34.)</u>

Thanks for Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG6.7.26. I quite understand why the Chassis was sent to London with the standard steering pedals. I thought this was probably the reason and the only reason I queried it was because your former memo to which I referred, intimated that the Chassis was fitted up with the parts altered parts in connection with which we received special blue print.

You say there appears to be very little difficulty and that it will be alright so long as the <u>definite</u> seating dimensions are adhered to but the special blue print shewed the usual 16" from wheel to squab and the usual height of 9" of cushion to wheel, so that if Hooper's adhere to these dimensions, the distance from wheel to squab will be 18" when the new column is fitted and the distance from the front edge of cushion will be 2" further away from the dashboard and the pedals 2" further away from the driver.

However, it seems to me that this is of little importance and that all it will want, <u>is</u> to make it reasonably drivable, will be a loose 2" cushion. If you agree and would like Hooper's to make one up and supply it with the Car, I will arrange accordingly.
