20-HP CHASSIS GAJ-73 W.C.THORNE ESQ.

Referring to Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/AVS1/MW1.5.28., we have examined the dynamo returned from the above chassis, and although the dynamo was in a very oily condition, we are of the opinion that the noise was due to the bearing having run dry, and customer has apparently over oiled the dynamo in order to get over the noise.

We consider the bearing should be replaced against Works' Policy, but think it advisable to point out to the customer that we think the cause of the noise was due to lack of oil.
