Dear Sirs,

Replying to your letter of the 17th inst. reference ROY{Sir Henry Royce}15/MG17.11.22" covering order for 2 reels of Silk Ribbon for insulating purposes, untreated, 2.700" wide, we are enclosing a clipping of the unoiled silk and shall be glad to hear if this is the material you have in mind. Naturally, owing to its porous character, such untreated silk would have no insulating properties and would therefore presumably be useless for your purpose unless you propose oiling in situ. We purchase the silk in pieces 36" wide x 50 yards long and after oiling cut it into ribbon and we fear we could not accept any order for untreated silk for less than 13 reels 2.7" wide as we should have the remainder left on our hands with no outlet for the same.

We shall be glad to have your remarks.

Yours faithfully,

THE IOCO RUBBER & WATERPROOFING CO LTD.

Secretary.
