X 8430 PN{Mr Northey}5/DN30.4.26. TO Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CWB FROM PN{Mr Northey} PHANTOM STEERING. Would you be good enough to arrange for me to test your proposed modification by the use of weaker springs in the steering, on a car one day, say, Wednesday or Thursday of next week, at Derby? I am anxious to form an opinion as to just how far this modification will prove to reduce the amount of road shocks on the steering-wheel and also to what extent any other disadvantages may crop up. Apparently the best plan would be for me to drive the same car first without and then with the modification, on a suitable piece of road. P.N. | ||
