-4- Contd. limiting factor in the supply to the valve, and so far as we have used the apparatus at present the trembler coil satisfactorily supplies all H.T. requirements. The rectifying capacity of the valve is, however, considerably greater than the D.C. milli-amperes obtainable from the coil. The above apparatus is the final development of the apparatus used for the insulation tests described in EFC1/112.9.26, where it was stated that the idea was to develop a test which could be applied to redmanol coil cases on production so as to keep a check on the quality of the material in this respect. It is now arranged that we test with this apparatus in this laboratory, a weekly selection of the present production redmanol coil cases, and so keep this very necessary check on the satisfactoriness of the material, in the light of our early experience with that material. 2 prints attached.
