Sidgreaves - MD} c. to WOr.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/MJ.4.12.30. X181. BOOMING 40/50. You will recollect that we have reported a marked improvement in 'booming' on the 40/50 by mounting the engine on single point fore and aft and taking the torque only through the rear engine feet. Whilst we have a design for the 20 HP. giving us this engine suspension, we have nothing for the 40/50 that could be put into production. We had a temporary scheme which was utilised for tests while we were working on radiator jellying but the attachment to the engine was of an entirely temporary nature. We should therefore like it to be designed so that we could utilise the mounting as you suggest. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
