PROPOSAL TO FIT BODIES TO B.V. CHASSIS.

We attach a list of seven B.V. chassis which are so nearly finished that they could be completed and fitted with bodies without a great deal of difficulty. The wing stays and spare wheel carriers could be made by Park Wards, the lamp brackets and pedal plates by the Works or by sub-contractors. We suggest that all these chassis are sent to P.W.'s and that Archer appoints someone to progress them until they are finished off. A total of seven would leave five for customers and two for trials cars.

Since you have agreed that we can utilise two gearboxes of the remaining cars to get endurance running on up to date pieces, we give the chassis numbers concerned. If, at a later date, we also use pieces off chassis 8.A.W. and No.18 this will leave fourteen partially finished chassis stored out of the twenty-five made at the outbreak of hostilities.
