For the attention of Mr.Finney.

Dear Sir,

Re: 2.B.50.

Referring to your letter of the 13th.inst. reference CLD/CM.SO.B.295, after considering the appearance of the body illustrated in the sketch, we are inclined to think that an improvement in appearance would be achieved by not making the moulding line quite so high up, and increasing the depth of the rear wing.

These two comparatively small modifications as shewn on our scheme F.CD.903 appear to give a very much improved appearance for the 4-Door Saloon, whilst not detracting from the appearance of the Six-light Saloon on which the Four-light is based.

We are making the suggestions referred to above in response to your request for our views. We appreciate however, that the final design remains with yourselves and Sales i.e. we do not propose to press our views if they are not considered to be an improvement.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.

CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS.
