The Midland Motor Cylinder Co.,Ltd.,
Birmid Works,
Smethwick,
BIRMINGHAM.

For the attention of Mr. Pearce.

Dear Sirs,

We are wanting to fit to a Bentley motor car, which will shortly be running our standardisation test of 15,000 miles, a set of brake drums in "Chromidium" iron.

We enclose drawings of the finished front and rear drums which are to be machined out of the solid. We understand that you can supply samples in less than 14 days, possibly 10 days.

We are instructing our Order Office to purchase from you four castings of each type, and the necessary patterns, but as it is essential that we should get these castings quickly, and as delays sometimes occur in the placing of our official orders, we should be much obliged if you would proceed with these castings on receipt of this letter.

Yours faithfully,
For ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.

Chief Experimental Engineer.
