flattened thus causing the rim of the disc to bear against the rim of the wheel. The disc may have a turned in portion against which the nut abuts so as to press the rim outward or the nut may abut against the outside of the disc around the centre hole merely and urge the same inwards. Clips may be arranged on the inside of the disc each of which grips a spoke so that these will hold the disc in position when the nut is removed. One form of this invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing. Figure 1 is a vertical section through a wheel with a disc according to this invention. Figure 2 is a view of some of the parts shown in Figure 1 showing an alternative arrangement of fixing the disc. Figure 3 is a section on the line 3-3 of Figure 1. A is the rim of the wheel supported on spokes B from the hub shell C. The brake drum is shown at D and the tyre at E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} F is the wheel hub on to which the hub shell C is secured by a nut G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} H is the disc consisting of a shallow dished or coned 2 | ||
