d/- We have actually increased the spring pressure to a total of 960 lbs, without absolutely stopping the clutch from slipping. We now propose to increase the spring pressure to 1120 lbs, which we believe will make the clutch act correctly, but, of course, it will increase the pressure on the disc considerably, and we would like to have Mr Frood's views in regard to the pressure per square inch which this will impose upon the material of the disc.

e/- The HP, to be transmitted is 22 BHP, at 100 r.p.m.
